Why painting?

Most team building activities Amsterdam companies try fall into one of two traps: too passive to actually connect people, or so forced it makes everyone more uncomfortable, not less. Painting sits in between. It gives people something to do with their hands, which takes the pressure off conversation — and somehow, that's exactly what makes the conversation flow. No one's watching you present; everyone's just quietly, happily making something. We built The Painting Studio around that idea, and it's held up through every event we've run since — public, private, or corporate.

About the founder

Kristina founded The Painting Studio in Amsterdam with a simple goal: make it easy for anyone — a group of friends, a bride-to-be and her bridesmaids, or a team of 40 colleagues — to have a genuinely good night that ends with something to show for it. What started with public sip & paint evenings around Amsterdam has grown into a full corporate offering, including working with teams on dedicated company events.

• No experience required — ever. Every session, public or private, guided or freestyle, is built for complete beginners.

• Real connection over forced fun. We design every session so people genuinely enjoy themselves — the bonding happens naturally, not because we scripted an icebreaker.
